Two moms met on a little league field, each with a baby on a hip.
"You look like an old new mom," one said.
"We should totally be friends," the other said.
Dozens of coffees and hundreds of bathroom breaks later, here we are. Curating a community and connecting other women in midlife who seek to live, love and grow with intention.
Shelly is a Professional Certified Coach (ICF-PCC) with 20+ years of nonprofit leadership experience working with people in need of physical necessities (food, employment, housing) while simultaneously accompanying people of faith in spiritual necessities (community, connection, growth). A mother of four, her free time is mostly spent folding socks or wiping down surfaces while listening to podcasts that probably have too many swear words. She loves llamas, river trails, old barns, poetry and compelling theology.
Find Shelly at www.shellyroder.com or at a Little League field somewhere in Milwaukee.
Meagan is a writer, soon-to-be-hospice volunteer, course-creator, retreat facilitator, mom of 3 and seeker. Seeker of a good bowl of ramen; cool women who like good conversation; the answer to what to do with all the shoes piling up in her hallway; and sunshine (she’s originally from California). In a former life (before kids), she lived in London leading internship and study abroad programs for US universities and then went back to school herself so she could be a school counselor here in Milwaukee, (she has her MA in Counseling from Marquette).
When she’s not asleep by 7:30, she can be found writing at www.meaganschultz.com. Her work has been published on Brain, Child, Literary Mama, HerStories Project, Sunlight Press, WUWM NPR’s Lake Effect, and in several anthologies.
